Education Fund Awards
Pursuant to Idaho Code 54-2059(4), civil penalty fine money may only be spent on the development and delivery of real estate education to benefit Idaho real estate licensees. Over the last 2 years, more than 4,700 licensees benefited from free and reduced cost courses underwritten with fine money.
The commission has spending authority for $95,000 per year of civil penalty fine money. At the start of every fiscal year, the Commissioners adopt a budget for use of the fine money.
Invitation to BidThe Commission issued an Invitation to Bid for course providers to offer 40 free core courses statewide, as well as reduced cost Real Estate Law and Brokerage Management courses. Bids were awarded and providers are presently scheduling the courses. The Commission will mail postcards with the course schedules to all active and inactive licensees in October 2011 and January 2012. You can also find free and reduced cost classes on the Public Database Search: Select the "Find a Course" tab and click the radio button "Delivered with Fine Money" - then "Search". |
